The Call for Applications for the FAO 2026 Internship is now open. Applications are being accepted for the FAO Internship 2026 at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy. Candidates will work at the FAO Headquarters. The internship is open to currently enrolled undergraduate, postgraduate, and graduate students. As an intern, you will receive a monthly stipend of $700, and medical services will be provided. All interns will receive this stipend for the full duration of the internship program, which lasts for 3 to 11 months. IELTS is not required, and there is no application fee. FAO stands for the Food and Agriculture Organization. It is a United Nations agency focused on food and agriculture. FAO aims to fight hunger worldwide and ensure that people have access to sufficient, high-quality, and healthy food.
The FAO Internship program is for Young men and women from FAO member countries to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the FAO work domains.

The Internships are available in Rome, Italy (FAO HQ).
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Candidates must be nationals of FAO Members.
- Education: Candidates with Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD applicants can apply, or those who have graduated.
- The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) only accepts applications from candidates who hold higher educational qualifications from institutions listed on the World Higher Education Database (WHED)
- Languages: IELTS is not required.
- Age: Aged between 21 and 30 at the start of their internship.
- Family relations: Candidates with family members (defined as brother, sister, mother, or father) employed by FAO under any type of contract are not eligible for the Internship Programme.
- Visa: An applicant must be able to get a Visa before traveling.
