The Africa Small Grants Programme

Oranisation Overview

About the Programme

The Africa Small Grants Programme was founded by the True Colours Trust in 2009 to support the development of palliative care across the continent by providing small grants to local providers. The programme is administered by the African Palliative Care Association (APCA), a membership-based, pan-African Non-Governmental Organisation with headquarters in Kampala, Uganda.

Funds disbursed through the Small Grants Programme should be used for activities which increase access to palliative care, improve the standard of palliative care services and directly improve the patient and family experience. More information on the priority areas of the programme can be found on our “What we Fund” page.

The True Colours Trust Africa Small Grants Programme—administered by the African Palliative Care Association (APCA)—supports local organizations across Africa working to improve healthcare, disability inclusion, child welfare, and palliative care services.

This 32nd round provides small-scale financial grants to empower community-based organizations developing sustainable and impactful initiatives. The programme aims to strengthen community health systems and promote inclusive access to quality care for vulnerable groups.
