Job Purpose
To supervise the design, development, implementation and maintenance of
infrastructure projects within the University, in line with the strategic plan,
standards and the Law.
Person Specifications
1. A Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Master of Science
Degree in Civil Engineering-Structural Engineering or Master of Science in
Construction Engineering or Master of Science in Construction
Management from a recognized University
2. An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of
Engineering in building and Civil Engineering from a recognized University
or Institution.
3. Must have been registered and a member of the ERB for at least 5 (five)
years
4. At least Five (5) years of work experience in Civil Engineering works in a
government Institution or department or an equivalent level from a
reputable organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
a) Providing technical advice to the University.
b) Supervising the overall administrative function of the directorate and its
engineering works.
c) Participating in the University’s infrastructure design, development and
maintenance.
Preparing work plans, budgets, cost estimation and expenditure on the
University infrastructure.
e) Developing a system to carry out infrastructure condition assessments.
f) Initiating the procurement, negotiation and monitoring of contract
execution and assessing the contractors’ performance.
g) Implementing an effective system for the management of those under him
or her.
h) Developing and implementing systems for the effective supervision of
routine, emergency and periodic maintenance activities of University
infrastructure

implementation prepared.
