Vulnerable children are those who face circumstances that put them at risk of neglect, abuse, discrimination, or limited access to basic services such as education, health care, and social support. This group includes children with physical disabilities such as hearing impairment, visual impairment, and mobility challenges (affecting the legs), as well as orphans and those from economically disadvantaged families.

Children with hearing impairment often struggle with communication and social interaction, which can affect their learning and emotional development. They require specialized support such as sign language interpretation, hearing aids, and inclusive teaching methods to ensure they can participate fully in school and community life.

Those with visual impairment need learning materials in Braille, large print, or audio formats, and schools should be equipped with proper lighting and assistive technologies to help them learn effectively.

Children with mobility challenges may require physical rehabilitation, assistive devices like wheelchairs or crutches, and accessible infrastructure such as ramps and handrails in schools and public spaces.

Orphan’s children who have lost one or both parents—face emotional trauma, financial hardship, and social exclusion. They need psychosocial support, love, guidance, and community-based care to help them grow into responsible and confident adults.

Protecting and empowering vulnerable children is a shared responsibility of families, communities, governments, and organizations. Ensuring inclusive education, equal opportunities, and emotional support helps them realize their potential and live dignified lives. Every child, regardless of ability or background, deserves care, respect, and the chance to thrive.
