To empower vulnerable and street children, women, and communities by conducting innovative research and implementing programs that enhance health, promote sustainable agriculture, address climate challenges, and inform policies for lasting social and environmental impact.
our Objectives
1. To support and protect vulnerable children and refugees including orphans and those with visual, hearing, or physical impairments through inclusive education, psychosocial care, and welfare services that enhance their quality of life.
2. To empower women and youth with entrepreneurship, vocational, and leadership skills that promote self-reliance, gender equality, and economic growth.
3. To promote sustainable agriculture and food security through the adoption of climate-smart Agriculture, environmental conservation, and green livelihood initiatives.
4. To conduct inclusive and participatory research on issues affecting vulnerable populations such as children with disabilities (hearing, visual, mobility, and limb challenges), refugees, women, agriculture, and climate change in order to generate data-driven solutions, influence policy, and strengthen community-based interventions.
VISION
An empowered generation of Teso youth driving education, culture, and sustainable development
MISSION
To empower Teso youth through education, health awareness, cultural preservation, and leadership opportunities for sustainable community development
OBJECTIVES
• Reduce school dropout in Teso by supporting at least 500 vulnerable youth annually through mentorship, scholarships, and community sensitization
• Promote reproductive health education, with a special focus on girls, by conducting awareness campaigns and training at least 1,000 youth each year
• Strengthen youth leadership by training 200 young leaders annually in governance, cultural preservation, and community service
• Foster intergenerational dialogue by organizing at least 2 forums per year that bring together youth, elders, and leaders to promote peace, unity, and cultural values
• Support youth economic empowerment by linking at least 150 youth annually to vocational training, entrepreneurship programs, or start-up opportunities.
• Expand youth participation in decision-making by ensuring representation of TEDA members in at least 3 district or national youth forums each year
• To train youth with hand experience in tailoring,soap making
GOALS
1. Reduce school dropout rates by addressing challenges such as early marriages, poverty, and lack of mentorship.
2. Promote unity, culture, and identity among the youth of Teso as a foundation for sustainable development.
3. Empower youth through education, leadership, and mentorship to create responsible and innovative leaders.
4. Strengthen linkages between youth, elders, and leaders to foster intergenerational dialogue and community collaboration.
5. Support youth-led initiatives and entrepreneurship to promote self-reliance and reduce unemployment.
6. Promote health awareness, especially reproductive health education for young people.
7. Amplify the voice of youth in decision-making processes at community, district, and national levels.
