Ensures optimal dissolved oxygen levels in ponds and cages by managing aeration equipment, maintaining aerators, and monitoring water quality in collaboration with the water quality team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, operate, and maintain aeration equipment.
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance of aerators.
- Assist in adjusting aeration based on water quality team demands.
- Maintain records of aeration schedules and equipment performance.
- Follow electrical and mechanical safety procedures when handling aerators.
- Wear PPE when operating aeration equipment.
- Report any equipment faults, hazards, or unsafe practices.
- Ensure safe working conditions around water bodies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Certificate in Fisheries and Aquaculture or any other related fields
- Experience in operating aeration systems in aquaculture.
- Basic understanding of water quality parameters and fish health.
- Mechanical skills for minor repairs of aeration equipment.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and adhere to safety standards.
