To provide academic and professional leadership and knowledge to Senior
Lecturers, Lecturers, Assistant Lecturers and students at undergraduate and
postgraduate levels; and to promote knowledge of his/her subject through
original work.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
a)Must have a PhD in Intellectual and Development Difficulties from а
recognized awarding university/institution.
b)Must be with at least eight (8) years of teaching/research experience, threе
of which must have been served at the level of Senior Lecturer  recognized university/institution.
Must have published at least three (3) articles in reputable peer reviewed
journals or three (3) book chapters or one (1) book with ISBN Number
since the last promotion to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
d)Must be principal or first author of at least two (2) articles in (c) above.
Must be one of the first five co-authors for the other article in (c)
above.
The three (3) journal articles or book chapters or the book(s) presented for
consideration shall be vetted.

f) Must submit the publications to the University Librarian to check for antiplagiarism and credibility of the publishers before submission of the
application. h) Publications submitted must not be more than five years old at the time of application. i) Should have supervised at least two (2) Graduate Students to completion
since last promotion/appointment to the position of Senior Lecturer.
k)
Should have been involved as a member of a communal club, society or
association.
Age Limit: Not above 55 years old at the time of application in case of new
entrants into Kyambogo University.
