As a key enabler for business, the role is responsible for the management of Bank’s Premises, lead in identifying sites for new premises, managing refurbishment projects, consultants and contractors, ensuring that all service and maintenance contracts are reviewed and renewed on time for preventive, planned corrective and unplanned corrective maintenance, handle leases and landlord relationships, and quality delivery of business requirements within the country. Jobholder is also responsible for managing the bank’s transport requirements and quality of service provision and effective management of all bank premises and built environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement a facilities and premises management strategy as well as plans for monitoring high quality standards and appearance of banks facilities and premises.
• Support Business in Identifying new bank premises, conducting premises suitability surveys, lease negotiations with landlords for bank premises and having the leases registered/renewed in Liaison with the Company Secretary.
• Ensure adherence of Facilities/property policies and practices in line with the banks green agenda.
• Coordinate business requirements to ensure all specifications/requirements are identified and provided for in the projects scope of works and designs, and budgets.
• Manage contractors and consultants in delivering quality refurbishment and Maintenance projects and ensure prequalification of all Facilities service providers.
• Coordinate periodic and regular repairs, cleaning and general maintenance for all bank vehicles, equipment and premises.
• Liaise with departments/Functions to understand business needs/requirements for projects and their impact on Premises issues, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Manage the supply of power/Electricity to all bank facilities/Premises to ensure uninterrupted availability of mains and backup power.
• Manage the operation of the Facilities at least cost and maximize benefit to business, including bank leases, refurbishment projects and maintenance.
• Effectively lead and manage the team consisting of courier and transportation personnel and manage training and development of staff within facilities department.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and review schedule for preventive maintenance and planned corrective repairs and seek timely for approvals for their implementation and provide overall guidance in relation to facilities issues.
• Liaise with All business units to develop facilities plans including review of on-going retail channel expansion programs.

• Coordinating with project consultants and contractors to supervise refurbishment fit-out projects and/or planned corrective maintenance.
• Review and negotiation of existing leases in line with industry benchmarks and agreed terms of bank leases/tenancies.
• Ensure uninterrupted power/electricity to all facilities/premises.
