Maintain and control all aspects of network and system security (routers, firewalls, switches and operating systems as well as software related security) within the University environment.
 Key Duties & Responsibilities
Implement, network security policies and procedures;
Perform vulnerability scans and deploy security patches;
Review logs and alerts for anomalies and potential security breaches and implement mitigation measures;
Document and maintain inventory of security incidences and security status;
Perform security audits and compliance programs;
Manages security devices such as firewalls, IDS, VPN, and others;
Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the immediate advisor.
 Required Qualifications
A Masters Degree in Information Technology or Information Science/System or Library or Information Science/ Bachelor of Science in Statistics, Mathematics/Physics/Electrical/Electronics or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Information Systems and Technology and any other ICT related programs from recognized University/Institution;
An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Information Science/System or Library or Information Science/ Bachelor of Science in Statistics, Mathematics/Physics/Electrical/Electronics or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Information Systems and Technology and any other ICT related programs from recognized University/Institution;
Specialized professional certification such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
 Experience
A minimum of three (3) years working experience
