Uganda Christian University is hiring a skilled Management Accountant to oversee budgeting, financial planning, and performance analysis, ensuring strategic decision-making and cost efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Aid Management’s financial planning and decision making by providing appropriate financial information and reports
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting
- Develop and implement cost-effective financial policies
- Mitigate financial risks
- Monitor auditing and taxation practices
- Evaluate benefits and compensation packages
- Ensure the financial health and sustained business growth of the University Any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or Management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicable candidate must have the following qualifications, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or in a related field
- Excellent technical accounting skills
- Professional certification in ACCA or CPA or CFA.
- Three (3) years’ work experience as Management Accountant or in a Senior Financial/Supervisory Financial role.
- Advanced knowledge of excel and acquainted with SAP
- Successfully aided over three recent unqualified external Audit processes
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
- Able to function in a team and supervise a finance team
