Uganda Airlines is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Ramp Attendant to join our Ground Operations team. The successful candidate will provide essential baggage and cargo handling services to ensure timely and accurate movement of passenger luggage and air cargo. This includes sorting, loading, unloading, and delivering baggage and cargo, as well as operating ground support equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload passenger luggage and air cargo (bulk, containers/pallets) onto carts, dollies, and the airport belt system.
• Handle wheelchairs, child strollers, mail, live animals, and special cargo, ensuring safe delivery to designated areas.
• Deliver passenger luggage to claim areas and air cargo to appropriate recipients.
• Operate ground support equipment including tow tractors, belt loaders, container loaders, baggage tugs, and cargo dollies.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate Supervisor/Manager.
• Comply with UCAA legislation, UR security requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain high standards of safety, security, and professionalism at all times.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Turnaround Coordinator.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Ability to travel to the airport when public transport is limited.
• Ability to work in manual environments and lift up to 32kg repeatedly.
• Previous experience in aviation or ground operations is preferred.
• Full driving license.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
