To carry out new installations, overhaul motors during factory shutdowns, service and repair equipment and handle preventive maintenance on machines and pumps.
Key Responsibilities
• Service starters, motors, and air circuit breakers.
• Overhaul motors during factory shutdowns.
• Carry out relevant technical tests on equipment’s before and after repairs.
• Monitor the performance of all equipment’s under the technician’s charge.
• Work together with the section electricians in erecting electrical installations in the factory.
• Prepare and submit relevant periodical reports about all repair activities in the workshop to the repair and maintenance supervisor.
• Keep accurate records of materials used during repairs for proper accountability.
• Adhere to the safety, health and environment policy of the company.
• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned to you by Supervisor – Shift / management from time to time. C Knowledge, qualifications & Experience C1.1 Education:
• A Diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation and Electronics or Electronics and tele-communication from a recognized Institution.
Experience, Skills and Competences:
• A minimum of at least two (2) years working experience as a fitter in a busy manufacturing industry.
Knowledge in maintenance, repair, electrical power handling principles, first aid treatment for shocks, good communication and interpersonal skills.
