The Innovation Hub at Carnegie Mellon University Africa is excited to announce the opening of startup/MSMEs applications for the 2026 TechSkills Marketplace Program.
Through this programme, startups gain access to skilled interns in areas such as AI, data science, software engineering, and product development, while contributing to hands-on learning that drives Africa’s digital transformation.

(Applications open annually from 1 November – 1 December.)

Startups and MSMEs offering or developing solutions in areas such as:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Data Science & Analytics
- Machine Learning
- Software Engineering
- Digital Platforms & Applications
- Product Development
- Product Design & UX/UI
- Technology-driven services
- Digital Transformation & Innovation
How are Applicants Selected?
Selection is based on:
- Startup readiness and operational status
- Quality and relevance of proposed tech-focused projects
- Ability to mentor CMU-Africa interns
- Potential for real-world innovation and impact
- Alignment with the program’s digital transformation objectives

Where will the Award be Taken?
Hybrid/Remote:

- Interns from CMU-Africa collaborate remotely or in hybrid mode
