Are you between the ages of 18 and 30? Do you believe that youth should have a stronger voice in democratic and civic spaces?
The Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) is looking for five young leaders from around the world to help inform youth-inclusive democracy, rights and government (DRG) programming through its DEPP Youth Advisory Council (YAC). The YAC will be engaged for a 10-month tenure (approximately December 2024 – September 2025) to support CEPPS in designing youth-informed strategies that strengthen effective, sustainable, inclusive youth inclusion in DRG programming.
Specifically, members of the YAC will collaborate with CEPPS to:
- Strengthen its overall youth inclusion approach through the revision of existing youth inclusion strategies
- Support CEPPS partners in the inclusion of youth priorities in program design and reporting through the development of indicators to measure youth focused intermediate result statements
- Mainstream youth inclusion and priorities into key cross-cutting areas
- Design and present learning events and resources that increase DRG practitioners’ understanding of the challenges that prevent a diverse population of young people from participating in political and civic life and offering approaches to address this.
Who should apply?
Young people ages 18-30 who are nationals of Africa, Asia, Europe/Eurasia, Latin America/Caribbean, or the Middle East/North Africa and who are passionate about DRG issues in their communities.
