Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is open exclusively to international applicants — candidates holding non-French citizenship.
Specific eligibility requirements include:
- Age limits:
- Master’s level: Applicants must be 25 years old or younger at the time of the 2026 call.
- Doctoral level: Applicants must be 30 years old or younger at the time of the 2026 call.
- Candidates must not have dual French nationality (French citizens or dual nationals including French are not eligible).
- Applicants must be nominated by a French higher education institution, such as Paris-Saclay University, which submits the application on their behalf.
- Students already receiving another French government scholarship (e.g., from the French Embassy or other public institutions) are not eligible.
Duration of the Scholarship
- Master’s level: The scholarship supports 12 to 36 months of study, depending on the structure of the degree programme.
- Doctoral level: The scholarship covers a maximum of 12 months, and may be distributed over three separate periods for doctoral cotutelle arrangements.
Extensions beyond these durations are not permitted.

The Eiffel Scholarship provides generous financial support that allows awardees to focus fully on their studies and research.
Master’s Level Benefits:

- Housing assistance: Help in securing accommodation and applying for housing benefits (CAF).
