Overview
The MCW Global Young Leaders Fellowship 2026 is now accepting applications from young leaders around the world who are passionate about making a positive impact in their communities.
1. Virtual Phase – Community Needs Assessment (June 2026)
A one-month virtual segment where fellows analyze community challenges and opportunities using mapping and participatory tools.
2. In-Person Training – Vision Planning and Project Development (July 21–30, 2026)
A 10-day intensive training held in New York and Burlington, Vermont, hosted at New York University (NYU) and Champlain College. Fellows collaborate with experts, peers, and facilitators to design actionable solutions to community challenges.
3. Virtual Implementation and Mentorship (August 2026–July 2027)
During this phase, fellows implement their projects with ongoing guidance from alumni mentors, ensuring accountability and measurable impact.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the MCW Global Young Leaders Fellowship 2026, applicants must:

Be between 18 and 26 years old as of June 1, 2026.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to their community.

Identify a local issue in education, health, or economic security.

Be fluent in written and spoken English.

Commit to participating in all three phases of the program.

Have access to email and internet for regular communication.

Be eligible to obtain a U.S. visa for program participation.

Submit a completed application by December 3, 2025.
Authenticity and originality are highly valued in the application process. Candidates should focus on presenting genuine ideas rather than formulaic responses.

Program Costs and Support
MCW Global covers:

International economy flights for international participants.

Domestic flights within the U.S. for U.S.-based participants.

Accommodation from July 20–30, 2026.

Three meals per day during the in-person training.

Public transportation between airports and training locations.

Round-trip travel between New York and Vermont.
Participants must cover:

Passport and visa fees.

Local travel to airports.

Personal or incidental expenses.
A refundable deposit of $100 is required by March 5, 2026. The deposit will be reimbursed after successful completion of the in-person training.
