Description

The Ashton Award for Student Research is a prestigious opportunity designed to support investigations by graduate and advanced undergraduate students working on Asian tropical forest biology. Established through the generosity of Professor Peter Ashton and his wife Mary Ashton, the award reflects their lifelong dedication to advancing tropical forest science and nurturing the next generation of researchers.

This award provides up to $4,000 in funding to cover student research expenses, enabling promising scholars to pursue projects that contribute to the mission of the Arnold Arboretum. By offering financial support, the Ashton Award helps students deepen their research, expand their networks, and strengthen their academic and professional trajectories.

About the Ashton Award
