Program Benefits
Selected scholars will receive full financial support covering:

– Tuition fees (fully waived)

– Monthly stipend:

– HUF 43,700 for undergraduate and master’s students

– HUF 140,000 for PhD candidates

– Accommodation support (dormitory placement or HUF 40,000 monthly allowance)

– Comprehensive health insurance under Hungarian national legislation

– Additional allowances for research and academic activities

Bachelor’s degree programs
Eligibility Criteria
– Be non-Hungarian citizens from eligible countries.

– Hold the required academic qualifications:

– Secondary school certificate for undergraduate programs.

– Bachelor’s degree for master’s programs.

– Master’s degree for doctoral programs.

– Demonstrate physical and mental fitness.

– Provide proof of English proficiency (or an English-medium instruction certificate from a previous institution).

Supported by the Government of Hungary under the Stipendium Hungaricum Program, this scholarship enables talented individuals from across the globe to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD studies at the prestigious University of Pécs — without the need for IELTS.

Required Application Documents

  • Bachelor’s programs: 4 years

The University of Pécs Hungarian

Oranisation Overview

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government as part of the “Eastern and Southern Opening” policy. The scholarship program is managed by Tempus Public Foundation.
The program's core mission is to increase the number of foreign students in Hungary and encourage Hungarian higher education institutions to attract top foreign students. Currently, 94 sending partners are engaged in the program.
Every year hundreds of international students gain admission to our university with the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship.
