Rules & Guidelines
- The Scholarship Committee is authorized to upgrade a scholarship to a higher category if the student’s cumulative GPA improves during two consecutive academic semesters, based on a request submitted by the student and in accordance with the approved rules and criteria.
- The university may temporarily suspend or permanently cancel a scholarship in accordance with approved regulations and systems, if the student fails to meet the continuation conditions, including GPA and credit hour requirements, or commits any academic or behavioral violations.
- The scholarship is canceled if the student changes the college or the academic program; the student may submit a new application for a scholarship, which will be considered in accordance with the prevailing rules and criteria at that time.
- The student has the right to submit an appeal to the Scholarship Committee to reinstate the scholarship, provided they present evidence of an exceptional circumstance that affected their academic performance and meet the previous scholarship criteria. The relevant committee will review the appeal, and its decision is final. If the appeal is accepted, the scholarship will be reinstated starting from the next semester.
- The student may submit a new application for another scholarship in case of cancellation for any reason, subject to the evaluation of their academic performance and the approved criteria.
- The student must submit the appeal to the relevant committee within (30 days) from the date of the official cancellation notice. Appeals submitted after this period will not be considered unless documented reasons are provided and accepted by the committee, in accordance with the university’s approved policies.
