Application Process

Applicants must first obtain an invitation letter from a professor or researcher at the University of Pavia. This is a mandatory requirement and applications without it will be automatically rejected.

Step 2: Identify a Host Researcher

Candidates who do not already have a contact at the university can use UNIFIND, the institution’s official research and staff directory, to identify potential academic collaborators in their field.

It is important to note:

  • Applicants must contact potential supervisors directly
  • The CICOPS office does not provide assistance in matching candidates with faculty

Step 3: Submit the Online Application

Once the invitation letter is secured, applicants can proceed to complete the online application form.

Important:

  • Applications must be submitted only once
  • Incomplete submissions will be rejected without exception

Important Guidelines

To improve the chances of success, applicants should follow these key recommendations:

  • Carefully review the official Call for Applications and FAQ document before applying
  • Ensure all required documents are complete and accurate
  • Highlight relevant research experience and publications clearly
  • Align the proposed research project with the expertise of the host professor
