Our own VU Fellowship Programme (VUFP) is a merit-based tuition fee waiver. It can be combined with the NL Scholarship, meant as a contribution towards costs of living. They are both meant for students from non-EU/EEA countries who pay higher tuition fees.

There are also various scholarships available that are funded by external organisations. The global scholarships that we mention are open to students from all countries, but please check whether the programme you are applying to is eligible. Additionally, several external scholarships are available based on your country of origin.

If you want to apply for VUFP please check the deadline for admissions beforehand. The advised deadline to apply for a Master’s programme is 1 December 2025. You are required to use the updated application form available during the call to apply. Old versions will not be accepted.
